Griffins Pick Two Winners of Annual Jersey Design Contest
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. Jason Villanti of Sayre, Pa., and Fraser Davidson based in london, England, happen to be selected while the winners belonging to the Grand Rapids Griffins' third annual jersey design contest.
Villanti's design, that will be worn by its Griffins on their 15th annual New Year's Eve game, depicts a fierce, roaring griffin in blue, gray and white, having its wings spread wide. The predominantly white jersey features blue yokes and arms, with red and grey stripes.
Davidson's jersey is distinguished by their European look reminiscent of the continent's sports teams.
