Skilling attorney Daniel Petrocelli asked."You couldn't," Skilling replied. He repeated an expression he'd used before, that once a reserve was schedule, it was in a "lock box" and couldn't be tapped.Several prosecution witnesses testified that they felt pressure from Skilling to make use of reserves to pad earnings when such funds were supposed to be used for specific expenses, like litigation costs.During cross-examination on Tuesday, prosecutor Sean Berkowitz displayed a chart for jurors that showed more than $1 billion in reserves were "available for earnings" in the spring of 2001. Skilling bristled and insisted the prosecutor misinterpreted the document.On Thursday, Skilling explained the $1 billion reserve increased to $1.3 billion by the end of the first quarter of 2001, reducing reported earnings, to prepare for risks and contingencies."The whole characterization of reserves as a cookie jar is demonstratively untrue," the ex-CEO said.Skilling appeared refreshed Thursday following a grueling three days of cross-examination, that he emerged looking tired. Skilling often simmered with tension as Berkowitz repeatedly challenged his truthfulness. In the end, the British fighter connected on 348 punches, while Holyfield landed just 130. However the fight was called a draw.Sunday night, the presidents from the IBF, WBA and WBC ordered a rematch. And Gov. George Pataki wants the modern York State Athletic Commission to investigate the draw. Complicating the analysis, that e-mail was inadvertently erased.Authorities are already trying to determine where Ricci might have driven between May 31st and June 8th.Ricci's mechanic told a great jury that the odometer on Ricci's Jeep - that she received from the Smart family as payment for work done for the property - showed that Ricci drove from 500 to 1,000 miles during that time period.Ricci is being held on unrelated bank robbery charges that prosecutors intend to ask for a life sentence if he or she is convicted.Ricci, an ex-convict and former handyman who worked in the Smart family home, was indicted Wednesday by way of a federal grand jury on the bank robbery charges.Ricci is accused of being the masked gunman who robbed a bank on Nov. 2, 2001. Ricci, 48, and 2 others are accused of using a 9mm semiautomatic pistol in stealing $1,713 in the Far West Bank in Sandy.Authorities say Wednesday's charges have no connection to the Smart case, in which there have been few new developments, a minimum of not in terms of what has been announced publicly.The other day, police said they were checking a study from Nebraska that a girl possibly matching Smart's description was light blue or grey Chevy Astro van with Pennsylvania license plates. Ricci has denied any involvement in the girl's kidnapping. His attorney, David K.
